At 1xINTERNET, we’re always looking for opportunities to collaborate with forward-thinking organisations and contribute to meaningful digital progress. Over recent weeks, we’ve been proud to deepen our partnership with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), through a series of thought leadership initiatives focused on responsible AI and digital transformation.

A real-world approach to responsible AI

As part of the Drupal AI initiative, we joined the UICC to deliver a webinar exploring how AI can be applied responsibly in real-world scenarios. The session, aligned with World Cancer Day, focused on practical implementation, moving beyond theory to demonstrate how organisations can safely and effectively leverage AI to enhance digital experiences.

This wasn’t just a conceptual discussion and together with the UICC, we showcased how AI can support content moderation, improve user engagement, and streamline digital operations - all while maintaining the highest standards of governance and trust.

Continuing the conversation on Talking Drupal

Building on the success of the webinar, our collaboration extended to the Talking Drupal podcast, where we explored these themes in greater depth. The discussion provided further insight into the challenges and opportunities organisations face when adopting AI, particularly within global non-profits operating at scale.

Importantly, the conversation reinforced a shared perspective: that technology should always serve people first. For organisations like the UICC, this means delivering reliable, accessible, and impactful digital experiences to a global audience.

“We've built all our websites on Drupal because we really feel like it's been a solid platform to build on. And it's proven to be very flexible and robust.”

A partnership built on trust and impact

Our ongoing work with the UICC reflects more than just a successful project, it highlights a strong strategic partnership. By combining the UICC’s global mission with our expertise in Drupal and AI-driven digital platforms, we’ve been able to support initiatives that truly make a difference.

This collaboration also demonstrates our deep understanding of the non-profit and membership landscape. From governance and compliance to community engagement and content strategy, we recognise the unique challenges organisations in this space face, and how to solve them.

Turning insight into impact

For organisations operating in complex, content-rich environments, the opportunity to harness AI is significant - but it must be approached thoughtfully. Our work with the UICC is a clear example of how this can be achieved: balancing innovation with responsibility, and ambition with control.

Whether it’s enhancing content workflows, improving user experiences, or exploring new digital capabilities, we help organisations take confident, practical steps forward.

Looking ahead

This is just one example of how we’re continuing to push boundaries alongside our clients.

As AI becomes an increasingly important part of the digital landscape, we remain committed to helping organisations navigate this space with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

If you’re interested in learning more about our work, or would like to explore how AI could support your digital strategy, we’d love to start a conversation.
