Spargelabend with German - Icelandic chamber of commerce

The period from the middle of April until the end of June is called "Spargelzeit" or the season of asparagus in Germany. During this period the white asparagus is used a lot in German cuisine.

When the asparagus arrived in Iceland at the end of April, there was a good reason to celebrate.

1xINTERNET has its roots in Germany, the company is headquartered in Frankfurt and a large part of our clients are German companies and institutions.

Baddý Sonja Breidert, one of the owners of 1xINTERNET, is on the board of the German - Icelandic Chamber of Commerce, which aims to strengthen business relations between Germany and Iceland.

To celebrate the arrival of the asparagus, it was ideal to invite the employees of 1xINTERNET in Iceland, together with some of Icelandic customers, to a traditional spring festival menu.

The chefs at the restaurant Nauthóll offered us the following menu:

• Grilled white asparagus
• Veal schnitzel with vegetables and truffle glaze
• German apple cake with vanilla ice cream

Helga Braga, an entertainer and actor, managed the party with her unique presence, Helgi Björns sang few songs and DJ Marinó kept the music going until late at night.
